Style over substance. The locations would have been so beautiful in colour, but instead we got drab, depressing black and white. The actors were too old and Johnnie Flynn, in particular, lacked the charisma of Dickie Greenleaf. The plot was weird - why would Dickie's father hire some random guy, who says he doesn't know his son, to find his son? I've read the books and watched the film and both were 100% better. I stopped half way through episode two.
