How are there positive reviews??? I love Kevin Costner and felt so embarrassed the entire movie bc I know how much he put into this film and the back story of no one wanting to make it for decades. I think it’s safe to say there is a REASON no one wanted to make this film.
The storylines were confusing. Literally zero back story given on anyone. Zero character development. Too many characters. When Lizzie gave the soldiers patches from her quilt and hugged the blonde dude? Who was he? What the hell was going on? It was sooo weird.
Also, everyone’s clothes looked like brand new! They could have at least rubbed some dirt on them.
It was hard to keep watching. We stopped halfway through and the only reason we finished it a day later was bc we paid $20 to rent it.
Also, the sex scene with Costner and the hooker made me so uncomfortable. It was awkward. They had father/daughter chemistry. Made it even more awkward knowing he wrote the scene with someone waaaaay younger than him.
Nothing made sense. And the montage at the end felt like opening scene of a tv series. What? And the Amazing Grace at the end credits was SO RANDOM.
