Visually impressive but emotionally flat. The movie starts with promise; a darker tone and a few great moments of wonder but the script just isn’t there. The dialogue feels forced, the story drags in places, and the characters never really connect. It’s not terrible, just forgettable. For a movie about dinosaurs, it shouldn’t feel this lifeless. Did we need another Jurassic Park movie? No. Did we watch it: yes...

Rat Race is one of the funniest movies I’ve ever seen. It’s fast, chaotic, and packed with ridiculous moments that had me laughing out loud. The cast is amazing and every character brings something unique to the madness. If you’re looking for a light-hearted comedy that doesn’t take itself seriously, this is it. Pure fun!

I was a big fan of the first Den of Thieves—gritty, intense, and surprisingly clever with its heist plot and character dynamics. Unfortunately, the sequel didn’t live up to the hype. The story felt disjointed and lacked the sharp edge that made the original so compelling. Dialogue was flat, new characters felt underdeveloped, and the action, while still present, didn’t hit with the same impact. If you loved the first movie, you might find this one disappointing. Fingers crossed for a stronger comeback if there’s ever a third.

Shooter is one of the best action thrillers I’ve seen. Mark Wahlberg is phenomenal as Bob Lee Swagger—a sniper framed for a crime he didn’t commit. The story is intense, full of twists, and keeps you guessing until the end. The action scenes are top-notch, and the pacing never lets up. If you love smart, high-stakes thrillers with a touch of conspiracy, this one’s a must-watch. Highly recommend!

A Working Man delivers exactly what you’d expect: tough, relentless action anchored by Statham’s trademark stoic charisma. He plays Levon Cade, a blue-collar ex-Marine drawn back into violence when his boss’s daughter is kidnapped. The fight scenes are raw and satisfying, with a standout motorcycle chase that feels genuinely intense. While the story is formulaic and some subplots—like Levon’s strained relationship with his daughter—feel underdeveloped, the film stays entertaining thanks to brisk pacing and strong production design. It’s not groundbreaking, but as a lean, blue-collar revenge saga, it gets the job done with style. Overall, a decent popcorn movie.

The Accountant 2 feels like a strange sequel to a great film that never got its due. Ben Affleck returns as the socially awkward math genius, and while his performance is still strong, this movie leans heavily into comedy in a way that doesn’t always land. The tone is inconsistent, especially with an odd speed-dating opener and some forced humor. That said, the scenes between Affleck and Jon Bernthal (playing his brother) are excellent—their chemistry is the real highlight here. Cynthia Addai-Robinson is back too, but the plot she drags everyone into is convoluted and hard to stay invested in. If you loved the original, it’s worth a watch for the characters alone. Just don’t expect the same focused storytelling as the first one.

The Four Seasons is a beautifully shot series with a stellar cast led by Steve Carell, but it ultimately falls flat due to shallow storytelling and an uneven tone. What begins as a promising exploration of relationships across time quickly devolves into a melodrama where characters make unrelatable choices and emotional arcs feel unearned. Despite the scenic backdrops and occasional sharp dialogue, the series lacks the depth and cohesion needed to make its themes resonate. It tries to check too many boxes, pandering to a woke audience: black character - check, gay couple - check (Claudia in the original became Claude), Asia guy (gay?) - check, etc. I really wanted to like the series, but I just couldn't.

Netflix’s The Perfect Couple delivers an engaging whodunit set against the breathtaking backdrop of Nantucket. Based on Elin Hilderbrand’s novel, the series follows Amelia Sacks (Eve Hewson) as she navigates secrets and scandals leading up to her wedding. But when tragedy strikes, everyone in the wealthy Winbury family becomes a suspect. The show boasts strong performances, particularly from Nicole Kidman as the icy matriarch, and Dakota Fanning in a compelling supporting role. The lush cinematography enhances the tension, making every secret feel grand and dramatic. However, The Perfect Couple has its flaws. Some police investigation scenes stretch believability—characters seem to incriminate themselves too conveniently, and certain forensic details feel rushed or unrealistic. The plot also leans heavily on familiar eat-the-rich themes seen in Knives Out and The White Lotus, making some twists predictable. Despite these drawbacks, the mix of romance, scandal, and mystery keeps it entertaining. If you enjoy high-society intrigue with a few bumps along the way, The Perfect Couple is worth a watch.

I really loved the first two movies of the series. The first one was a gem. However, the third one is a disappointment. There is no “story”, no plot, nothing. It like the producers just wanted to “milk” the franchise one more time without offering much. They just got the old cast together and probably had fun while filming in Greece. Watched the movie on a plane, so it did not completely feel like a waste of time.

Plane is an underrated, fast-paced and gripping action-thriller that delivers exactly what it promises — intense suspense, solid performances, and edge-of-your-seat excitement. Gerard Butler is perfectly cast as the determined and resourceful pilot, while Mike Colter brings a powerful presence as the mysterious fugitive-turned-ally. The chemistry between the two leads adds emotional weight to the nonstop action.
