I was totally absorbed from the beginning but became totally confused and felt cheated in that there was no real credible explanation for the 48 hour memory loss, I thought perhaps it was something I must have missed but reading the other reviews I felt that my response to the novel was justified in that it didn't reward the reader with a plausible explanation.
