Definitely my favorite movie and I love how petty Lancelot is about.. well everything

One of my comfort movies, I've probably memorzied the whole thing. While there are some biggoted jokes, (and im not here to justify them) the movie is still a classic, and a musical thats very dear to me. :)) One thing I have to point out is that most bad reviews come from people talking about how blatantly disresectful the movie is to women. While I agree, I think its also important to put this movie in context, This movie is based in the 50's, back then women were still mainly opressed. It doesnt make the sexism and sexual assault JUSTIFIABLE, but it does contextualize them (again, not saying that its right, and frankly, whenever the scene where Danny tries to do THAT to Sandy, I get repulsed, no one should have to go through that.)
