I really enjoyed it although there were bits that could have been left out and would not have affected the film's continuity.(eg the dinosaurs and the finding of the indigenous necklace.) I also thought the hummingbird was a bit ho hum at the end of the movie. The focus was on one room in a house where various families lived over a 100 year time frame; the longest being Tom Hanks' family.
I had read poor reviews but I thought it was well acted, was poignant and reflected the highs and lows experienced by families living within 4 walls. As in life, there were humorous moments interspersed with sadness, love, joy, hope and good and bad times.
The style of the movie was uniquely different and some viewers may find it difficult to follow the various timelines. Overall though, it was enjoyable, thought provoking and gave an insight into the saying 'if only these walls could talk.'
