Someone here described "The Fall of the House of Usher" as a "masterpiece." Not quite.
I found it typical of what Netflix has been putting out lately, namely, woke in every sense of the word, predictable, and formulaic.
The style and feel reminds me of "The Umbrella Academy" or "Sandman" in some ways, though both of those were much more entertaining (though equally woke).
Nothing about the characters and the situations the Usher people are in is the least bit believable, and after watching "The Fall of the House of Usher" I moan the loss of the precious time which could have been better spent having a lobotomy.
Typical Netflix fare, which is to say insipid, woke, predictable, and a waste of time. Of course I know some people will like, even love it (we all have different tastes) but a "masterpiece" it certainly isn't.
