I remember when this trial was going on, people were outraged, Brilliant movie!!

This is the best documentary I’ve ever seen! I can’t believe the opulence of the sets! The Romanovs were the wealthiest family in history and you will believe it when you see the sets. It makes the whole bizarre story of the family understandable and accessible in ways that the MANY books I’ve read on the subject just never managed to do! It’s hard with a book to picture a riot where 2,000 people are trampled to death. When you see it here you can believe it. Normally, if I watch a film about history, I spend most of my time mentally correcting all of the inaccuracies, and just watch to be entertained but not informed. Haven’t found any inaccuracies in the series. The historians who add comment makes you understand how the whole bizarre set of circumstances could actually have happened I think even serious historians who wouldn’t be caught dead watching something like would be hard pressed to criticize it!!
