This movie has me with mixed emotions. Just like everyone has mixed feelings about a lot superhero movie, I’m guilty of it. I have an unpopular opinion bc I feel this movie was refreshing in the sense it’s not like every super hero movie. There are aspects of the movie they could’ve have done different to improve the experience of watching. I enjoyed that her powers aren’t like every superhero. She’s the only kinda with her kind of strength of power. Scarlet which is pretty close. However I also did enjoy the origin aspect of the movie which I think is my most unpopular opinion. For me it answers all the questions I was asking. How’d she get her powers. When she discovered her powers. How is she connected to those girls which fully has been answered in depth (which I also like that, it add room to play on in sequels) there’s a villain who test there limits so it’s a not a extremely different story but not one we see often so I give credit to that. People might’ve thought it was boring bc they didn’t go straight into fighting and wearing there costumes which I would have enjoyed some more of that content in this movie as well but that’s just isn’t the purpose for this 1st film. I see the potential in the madame web universe that can lead to success. My real rating is 7/10. I was intrigued by the movie the entire time. The media promo for this movie was misleading bc we did expect them being in costume a lot of the movie. I also think men don’t love this movie bc there no real “hotness” to the women actors which I won’t speak my opinion on in this post.
