Wow, this show explains just how complex the human brain is! I don’t wanna give any spoilers away for people who didn’t watch it yet. But everything on the show is a true neurological diagnosis, nothing is made up. It’s extremely fascinating to watch how the group of four young doctors working under Dr. Wolf‘s guidance, work as a team to discover these illnesses, I love the bonds and romance that eventually develop within the cast of characters. One of the first few episodes introduces you to a patient “John Doe” Who is trapped inside his mind with no communication skills, and no ability to move his arms or legs. He’s in a vegetative state, with only his eyes remaining open. And Dr. Wolf and the team go out of their way to try to reach him before he gets shipped off to a long-term nursing care facility, where he’ll likely remain until he dies.
The team worked really hard to give him a voice, and when his true identity comes out, and what really happened to him, it’s an emotional roller coaster of tragedy and love.
From the first episode, I was hooked. I love the way this show plays back-and-forth between Zachary Quinto‘s character Dr. Oliver Wolf’s professional life at the hospital as well as his personal home life, and past trama.
There are so many plot twists, that it keeps you wanting more. Dr. Wolf’s team, all played by such great actors and actresses! Truly bring you into their world. As the show goes on, it just gets better and better. I love that within each episode there are a few different stories going on. You get to really know who these characters are; passed and present, And why and how they became who they are. Especially Dr. Wolf. The relationships that evolve, you don’t see coming, and that’s what keeps you on the edge of your seat as well. I can’t wait for the second season! If you haven’t watched it, catch up on it. Start streaming the first season now. You’ll be happy you did!
