Actually, I was going to be harsh but this was a good movie. Definitely had a solid plot. Both portrayed characters that were the negative side of running a church. Both characters are extremely vain. But the wife took the opportunity for spiritual and emotional growth. And broke out of being super submissive and learned to stand her ground after being so loyal to her husbands hypocrisy, homosexuality, infidelity and selfishness. Powerful topics for that world. She found herself and showed it. The husband is lost in the sauce. And the fact that there wasn’t a happy ending or that it was the ending that It was is honestly profound. He is still the same and delusional she is fed up and he essentially lost all of his values because he was not of God. Pretty good.
Also it was supposed to be like a documentary so the way it was written and ended was brilliant. The rawness and reality of it was to one show viewers who they are and for the main characters Be conscious of their mannerism and character so basically exposing who they are to themselves.
Buuuuuttttt I think it would’ve made for a great series. I can see it having 1-3 seasons
