So I just finished Reborn Rich and honestly this is exactly my type of story. It’s got everything I love: revenge, power struggles, time travel and that satisfying “underdog flips the system” kind of vibe. The main plot follows an employee who’s betrayed and killed by the very company he’s devoted his life to, only to be reincarnated in the past as a member of the same chaebol family that destroyed him.
The storyline is so well-crafted. Every episode keeps you curious about what move he’ll make next and how he’ll outsmart people who once looked down on him. If you enjoy narratives that basically say “Let’s take down the rich br*t” this one’s totally your thing. It’s sharp, clever and unapologetically critical of chaebol culture but what makes it great is how entertaining it still manages to be. It’s not just social commentary, it’s drama done right🤩
About the last episode, the message of “repentance” stood out the most to me. What I understood from it is that repentance in Reborn Rich isn’t just about feeling guilty or asking for forgiveness, it’s about acknowledging how greed, power and obsession can twist a person’s sense of self. The main character’s journey wasn’t just about revenge; it was about realising that even with all the power and opportunities he gained, he could still lose his humanity if he let vengeance consume him. In a way, his reincarnation wasn’t just a second chance to take revenge, it was a second chance to reflect, to understand what truly matters and to make peace with his choices. So, while the ending didn’t give me the emotional closure I wanted, I think the writer wanted us to walk away not with satisfaction, but introspection, to think about how chasing power or “winning” can make people lose sight of who they are👌🏻
Even with that slightly frustrating ending, I still loved the overall plot. It’s smart, layered and full of those “oh damn” moments that make you pause and replay scenes. If you’re into stories that mix moral lessons, corporate revenge and a bit of fantasy, Reborn Rich definitely deserves a spot on your watchlist👍🏻🫶🏻
