I really appreciate this series. There is one little place for me that artistic liberty missed a chance for depth in meaning. When JESUS is teaching on faith and the "Sycamore"tree is mentioned; in this story translations even differ. The older translations say "Sycamine"tree not "Sycamore"tree. Why is the Sycamine tree the one that needs to go "be ye uprooted and cast into the sea"? It is a bitter tree, with bitter fruit and bitter root. It is also associated with poverty. The fruit was cheaper because of its bitterness yet provided some nutrition so it was the only affordable option for the poor. The Sycamore produced sweet fruit and was more costly and was a product purchased by those with more money. Unforgiveness is a bitter tree and a bitter root and bitter fruit.
