The movie is like a cartoon. It’s exaggerated. The emphasis is all wrong. I don’t need to see horses being blown up. The battle scenes are repetitive. Napoleon did a lot of good things like reforming the legal system. Not a word. What’s the point of showing a selective summary at the end of the film of French casualties in some of the Napoleonic battles? It would have made more sense to show total casualties from all sides. It would be more accurate if the movie was called “Josephine”.
