For me the highlight of the movie was the nuanced portrayal of love in a setting all of us can relate to. Growing up all of us have had quirky desires that have been either snubbed or supported. Having people in your life, especially at a tender age, who see the true you, admire your personality, and champion your ambitions even when it's inconvenient for them to do so, marks the beginning of a strong self-loving individual.
