S. A. Cosby has some of the most poetic prose followed by heart aching sorrow, brutality, and beauty. He has hit on what made me fall in love with old noir novels.
Razor Blade Tears has stuck in my head over two years after reading it. It's message of love and excepting people before it's to late, and some truely brutality.
King of Ash is more if you keep crossing the line you may loose it. There are a few others but.... no spoilers.
Romman, a high powered money man for the rich and famous, returns home when his father was in a car wreck and put into a coma. This makes him come to terms with his mother who disappeared and thought murdered while he was an early teen.
His younger sister runs the crematorium their parents started. His baby brother kind of founders, parties and on the verge of being a junkie.
If you know the genres you know it all goes to hell after that.
I will let it slip, Cosby went there at the ending.....
