Casting was "off" for several characters, most glaringly Julia Garner as Anna. She lacked the charisma and magnetism that the character required. And the accent, while reportedly "authentic," was irritating. Some of the secondary performers' performances were far more interesting. Still, I watched until the final episode, but with decreasing investment and enthusiasm.
