I made my bf get the game and I don’t regret it. It’s so good was so close to crying. This is a STORY GAME not Elden ring, not COD. This game is about the Deep South and folk tales and if you have patience you will see how damn good this game is. Is a white woman from Chicago this game is amazing.

A friend recommended this series to me, and it ended up being the third anime I’ve ever watched. The first season was amazing. It had that perfect blend of character development that really drew me in. There were characters I could empathize with, and others I could outright despise. I started watching it on Netflix, where for me there’s only season was available, so I searched for a way to watch the 2nd season. Eventually, I found it on Hulu. And that’s when things went downhill, which is why I’m giving it a 3/5. (Spoiler warning) The second season was a huge letdown. The focus shifts dramatically—from the main characters’ struggle against the waves to an entirely new entity that is significantly dragged out by his struggle controlling his shield and these new annoying characters, then suddenly, they're in a different world. The constant plot shifts made it hard to stay invested. There are new characters that I hate but one stands out the most. There were entire segments I skipped, because of the character Kizuna (that might not be how you spell her name). Honestly, I couldn’t stand her character or her voice. It wasn’t the voice actress's fault; her performance was fine, but the character was so unnecessary and grating that I couldn’t tolerate her presence. All she did was connect Naofumi (the main character) and his group with another faction they were already at peace with, which felt redundant. The only good thing that she possibly could’ve done was tell the other faction that the reason they were fighting Naofumi was stupid, but I feel like that could’ve been resolved another way. Tbh, I think it was a mistake to throw the main characters into another world before they even explored the countries they had just discovered. The narrative seemed to jump around too much, and I just didn’t enjoy it. I’m about to watch the 3rd season, I’m hoping it’ll get better, but for now, the second season really soured my experience.
