Complete and utter nonsense. The Joker is lazy and overwrought; mounting a campaign of false ideas of mental illness with no meaningful narrative. It is at best a vehicle for Joaquin Phoenix to win an Oscar, and so Hollywood gave it to him. Which is more sickening and depressing? The Joker, but not by much.
