So honestly, when I first heard about Mahavatar Narasimha I was like, “okay let’s see what they do with it.” Didn’t expect much at all. But when I was returning from the theatre, I literally could not stop talking. It just caught the emotions in the right way. 🥹
The way they created that scene where eternity shows up to Prahlad? OMG!!!
Or when Lord exposed his endless Vishwarup to Hiranyakashipu? Goosebumps. Tears. Everything. Makers knew what they were making, and they captured it—the feelings, the events, the emotions—spot on.
VFX, SFX, graphics? Great. Storyline? Awesome (obviously—it’s based on truth, how can it not be?). Some people online were like, “oh they didn’t cover the whole story.” Like bro, how do you expect a 2-hour film to catch a saga of 100+ years? 🤦 It’s not about cramming everything—it’s about showing the essence. And that, this movie nailed.
Okay, flaws? Yeah, I’ll say it—the 3D was hardly there. They could’ve just released it in 2D and it wouldn’t matter. And the character animation… eh, stiff, a bit edgy. I know our animation industry is not Disney/Pixar or even like the Chinese (Nezha, White Snake) level yet. Sometimes it looked like interns rigged the models 😅. But still, the movie shined through all that.
For me, this wasn’t just a film, it felt like darshan. Not perfect, but unforgettable. And yes, I cried like a fool, but in the best possible way. 💙
⭐ 4.5/5 from me.
