Ryse: Son of Rome is one of Crytek's underappreciated Xbox one tech demo from 2013 that proves the Xbox one's underpowered hardware can be powerful as the PS4 at launch.
Pros The graphics are ahead of it's time in 2013 since Crysis on the PC in 2007 or Hellblade using the Unreal Engine with limited budget and Better than Naughty Dog or The Coalition's Gears 5 and The Last of Us part 2 or Santa Monica's terrible God of war reboot (Still prefer the original games on the PS2).
The middle of the stick - The gameplay is alright but you have to plan carefully how you fight your enemies. Tougher enemies can be difficult to fight without mastering the art of button mashing.
Cons - The story is alright but also pretty lackluster since it's a tech demo for the Xbox one hardware 7 or 8 years ago, The foliage (Plants, leaves, etc) did age like sour milk sitting on a fridge 8 years ago and some textures/models aged poorly too.
Ryse is still a tech demo of what Crytek can achieve with new hardware at the time.
