This was such a wonderful, thought-provoking, hilarious and beautifully written book. I was captivated from the first paragraph.
The book reflects the dire situation of many young girls in Nigeria_ The stereotypes, child marriage, domestic abuse, importance of girl child education and sadly, subtle slave trade.
The use of Adunni's unique, broken English adds authenticity and charm to the narrative. I was captivated by her courage, strength, tenacity and perseverance despite life's incessant knocks.
An absolutely beautiful work.
