I'm not a book-reader myself but when I saw 'It ends with us' lying on one of the benches in school and gave a shot to the first few pages, I immediately knew this one would do to get me back on track of reading novels.
Firstly, I love the way Colleen starts off, beautifully and alluring description of her emotions towards her situation and then a herioc, thrashing and a taken aback encounter with Ryle. I had butterflies 🦋 indulging in my stomach the whole DAMN time. And as the novel proceeds, you feel so engrossed to the extent you feel Lilly yourself.
From her nights with Atlas in her teenage years to embarking on a love journey with Ryle, the life lessons that have been portrayed so fluently and fantastically in the novel, just feels like skimming through when you've read it all one one sitting.
I'll correctly refer the book as a bank with countess heartbreaking emotions and sorrowful heart aches opening the bitterful truths of different aspect of life such as painful decisions and facing reality when deep in your core you absolutely know the right way out.
Being very honest, I predicted the storyline from the title that I'll all end with her and Ryle who will be given just one more chance, but when she takes her final decision to end it all with just herself and their daughter-I felt proud of how Lilly went through it all. Reminding herself. Restraining herself. JUST ONE LAST TIME that it'll all be an excuse to get back together with him.
"Cycles exist because they are excruciating to break" and she broke that cycle. 😭 It Ends With Us will deeply always and always have an impact on my heart that no matter how much pleasure and comfort you get from being with someone, NEVER extend your limits of self respect for someone else. ❤ ♥.
Highly recommended novel from Colleen Hoover-my new favourite author...
