First couple of seasons were great! Especially the seasons which included the original vampires- I love Klaus! But the last 2-3 seasons was horrible!! They just churned out the same bs stories with different bad guys! I had to fast forward thru at least 70% of it! By the last season, I ended up hating Elena, Stephen and Caroline, and wishing they were all staked! Could vampires be THAT uncannily stupid?!?! And bringing back Katherine in the last season was the biggest cop out! Lazy lazy writing! Ran out of creativity altogether! Also what happened the the actress that played Elena/Katherine? Plastic surgery? Botox?? Her face looked so.... weird and wrong in the last season! Ugh! And the acting was sooooo bad at times!! My obsession with vampires altogether has been cured by this show! Huuuuuuuge eye roll to seasons 5-8! Waste of freaking time! I could write a dissertation filled with critique but I’ve wasted enough of my life on this lame formulaic show! Basmatos CRAPOS!!👎👎👎
