I really enjoy CBS mornings format. I have tried other channels from time to time and CBS really offers one of the best formats. Unfortunately, Gayle King really ruins it for me. There are many others that would truly improve the cast, Adriana Diaz, Jamie Yuccas, Jericka Duncan, Dana Jacobson, or Michelle Miller. When Gayle is on assignment or off and one of the aforementioned sits in, the whole setting truly improves, the rapport, laughter, joking, basically a seamless effort of news reporting. Gayle constantly stumbles over her words, seems very disconnected with guest, often asking a question that was just answered by the guest moments before her question. Meaning she’s not even listening, maybe preparing for the next question or not understanding their comments. She often interrupts by injecting her personal comment before they complete theirs or asking another question before they complete answering the previous question. I realize often there is a time crunch and a need to rush a guest along but others seems to manage this effort but Gayle really seems to struggle. I often notice that Tony or Nate will explain a clip shown, a comment made, etc to Gayle because of her lack of comprehending. I DVR most of the time and often find myself skipping through Gayle’s comments and sections because it’s so irritating to listen to.
