If an art student had been asked to create a documentary piece themed on a well known Buddhist cornerstone belief, then this could be the result… neither profound, nor transcendent as described in some reviews.. more a novelty cinema experience for approx 15 minutes, and yet fairly average and underwhelming elsewhere. I think the unfamiliarity in the West generally, of eastern Buddhist culture and of some far flung lands adds some mystique as you are taken into the heart of some of the characters everyday lives, but really it’s pretty poorly acted and comes across as though it’s been produced on a low budget.
