Hi, here I would like to warn people like me, who saw good reviews and expecting to read emotional and interesting book to enjoy it. This book is definitely not for enjoying! Everything there was nostalgically sad and painful. For me it was a disappointment. I like language of the author, it's hard to stop reading, but I wanted to finish it as fast as I can and forget forever. Good characters, good idea, but awful plot. This book is filled with cruelty and depression, suicides, beating, dirty and disgusting things. I felt so much time unpleasant pity for the main character, a lot of unpleasant feelings in general, which I didn't want to feel. And I do not really understand why author needed to put so much drama inside because it doesn't make any sense in such an amount. Pedophilia, violence, misfortune, car accidents. It was very drawn out, there were a lot of unnecessary details and repetitive text showing the pathetic characters. There is no deep meaning other than the cruel reality of the characters. There was nothing to smile or be glad for. The only good topic is a life lasting friendship until everyone is dead. Looks like author is deliberately making the plot worse and worse in order to trick the reader into emotions, but what kind? Disgust, sadness, heaviness and reflections that do not lead to anything good. Could be a good book, but unfortunately... The author chose to make the main line full of unpleasant emotions.
