The Queen's Gambit is perhaps one of the best cinematic productions that have arose during one of humanities darkest hours. Just as the young Beth Harmon over came a devastating personal tragedy; she turned to her intellect and love of chess to become the best player in the world. Everything about this series is for those who truly admire extraordinary film making. They will also admire the writing, casting, location, music, and historical context in which it is set. This will indeed take your mind off the horrors we are faced with this past year and venture back in time for a glimpse of how someone can indeed come back in the face of adversity. Truly inspiring, entertaining, and uplifting story telling. Beth may have had her addiction but ours came from watching this amazing series. Well done to everyone involved in this production!
