Time is money and Money ofc is Money, So don't waste them both . No Storyline, Just a gimmick of a movie . 100's of references from great movies made to such a waste. The first half is utterly wasted with all such references, a couple of references would be eye-candy, but a reference to an old movie in every 5 mins is hard to bear. Casting is cliche as too many characters with no depth or proper roles in the story, (If there is such a thing as a story ) just keep them as side actors. I thought of saying this is a Shylock for Mohanlal but sadly not even close to shylock. Shylock was at least a treat for Mammooty fans. But Aarattu is unbearable for Fans itself Director needs to understand the Malayalam Cinema universe is evolving with great movies coming out and these kinds of cheap movies with no storyline or thread need to be scrapped. The movie won't even let you sleep in theatres as the BGM keeps reappearing Thalayude Vilayattam (The only original thing in this movie ) Sad to see Such a Fab actor as Mohalal doing this kind of movies after giving classy n Mass performances in Drishyam 2 and Lucifer

"Maniyarayile Ashokan " is the second disaster struck in 2020, the First one being corona. Feels like the director and the scriptwriter were aiming to make an Avial and end up forgetting to turn on the gas itself. The movie lacks soul, No proper storyline, squeezed in a bit of sentiment, a couple of songs, and overhyped casts who didn't have any proper roles A cameo from DQ didn't make sense, Personally, it was a waste of time. Asianet film awards will have to give best debutant performer award to " Vazha" who acted much better than most of the casts .. Lame movie better to watch some short films or old movies itself to kill time
