This movie Udaan was released in 2010....i was not aware of it at all abt this movie; never heard of it though i am a hindi movies hardcore fan. i accidentally watched it while browsing TV channels in 2018 somewhere from the interval or just before it (something i felt it resonated from my life) and i got interested and watched till the end. I have no words to say how much i loved it......felt like a true story that happens in certain households where they have a narcissistic parent or partner. I tremendously loved the end and was happy to see Rohan picking up the little brother Arjun and fleeing from the clutches of his abusive narcissistic father... and hence the movie appropriately titled "UDAAN". the best and most uplifting movie i have seen in my life. Hats off to the Writer, Director, Producer and the Actors - Ronit Roy, Rohan's character and Arjun's character, all other actors shine brightly too......and the one who wins the heart with the powerful performance is Ronit Roy who has played the abusive insensitive father to the T. This movie gives hope to the hopeless & miserable; that they can uplift themselves in some way or other; if they have a will and not languish in the miserable state with such narcissists. I am remembering this movie today in 2022 (after 4 years of watching it on TV just once though partly and after 12 yrs of its release) because today - just remembering it - gives me a validation that i need not to stay in a miserable life - i deserve a better life as some people in your life never change but degrades and hence i am ready for "UDAAN" in my life . Keep making such uplifting movies - you dont know how many lives you will change for better - God bless !!! A SEQUEL BE MADE TO SHOW what happened in the boys lives after they flee, how to adapt to the new life and establish themselves. That would be too inspiring and empowering.
