Outside of the incredible CGI effects, special effects and incredible visual artwork and the amazing animation, motion capture and battle scenes between Godzilla and King Kong and MegaGodzilla, the plot and story is a complete mess. There is no flow of the story, no understanding or tie in to the characters of the previous Godzilla movie. The girl that was deaf needed her own story in the beginning of the film. Millie Bobby Brown and her character, Edison Russell needs flashbacks and updates to reflect what happened to her and her Dads and their work at Monarch. Her own life since her mom died in Godzilla King Of The Monsters. APEX needed to be explained more as well as the guy who was the evil mastermind of MegaGodzilla plus the guy with the podcast in the beginning - which was most confusing and made no sense. The chubby kid with the Judas Priest shirt needed to have a clear story of who he is and how he is tied to Monarch and his relationship to Millie Bobby Brown’s Character Edison Russell. The music was total nonsense-especially the opening song for King Kong island scene. The dialogue was retarded. The worst character was the young hot woman with the huge silicone busts who looked like Kylie Jenner or Kendall Jenner of the Khadashians , a complete bimbo like pole dancer in a strip club ... Since she was the Evil villain, mastermind’s daughter, which no one knew till much much later in the film- her role was most confusing , it would make the story more intriguing if she was privately on video call with her dad giving him info on King Kong and the plan. The Dialogue: “ The World needs Kong” 🙄. The bimbo: “The monkey talks?”. 🙄. Umm it’s a huge gorilla named King Kong dear. You mean to say, Wow, look, King Kong is communicating with that child in sign language. Just one of many problems with the childish awful dialogue. Overall, since most of the film is CGI you didn’t really need any real professional actors -only CGI Characters would have been just fine and voice over, actors reading from a script for their characters. There was no direction or understanding of time or year we are in. Yes I know it’s a sci-fly movie but still the viewer needs to know what period of time we are in. After all space crafts don’t exist now. This would be a great video game movie... As a fan of Godzilla movies in the 50s 60s and 70s where there were stories that intertwined, I cannot say the same for this film which had fragmented stories, chopped up that did not flow or connect- looked like a complete mess outside of the incredible Monster battle scenes which stole the movie. If anyone deserves an award, it’s the artists and computer animators, visual effects teams that made this movie incredible. In other words, The visual and special effects and monsters and battle scenes between Godzilla and King Kong as well as with MegaGodzilla saved this film.
