It feels like the game designers played Humankind and decided "You know what, we're going to copy that game, and slap the Civilization label on it." You pretty much took everything that made Civilization, Civilization (huge maps, advancement to future eras, and an easy to play, fun game) and stripped it from the game. The scouts can't auto-explore? The maps are all small? Only 4 eras and you STOP THE GAME? If you enjoy this game, hey, more power to you. I hope you continue to enjoy the game. Put in the hours, have a blast. Truly. As for me? I'm heavily disappointed. This is the first game in the series that I regret buying, and I've been playing Civ since Civ III.
