Mmm! I've got very mixed opinions about this. The first episode was fantastic; Martin Freeman giving a sensational performance as a man emotionally disintegrating yet trying to keep things together.
Subsequently I felt ithe storyline all got a bit ridiculous and totally unbelievable at times. The ' death from a thousand cuts" being overtaken by "sledgehammer of a million police drama cliches".
Personally I think concentrating on the very personal turmoil of Chris (the responder) would have been so much more rewarding. Quite often less is more.
