It’s great that all the characters are unlikable and boring, so you wouldn’t care if they died in terrible CGI fashion. You’re rooting for the monkey to bring upon the apocalypse and end everyone.
It’s hard to tell if they’re trying to be scary and serious or funny. The dream sequence was hilarious though with the Asylum level effects. The movie is a mix of Child’s Play and Final Destination.
