Not your typical Stephen King, and not even close to ball park. I LOVE classic horror King, and I love his new genre of crime/detective horror (Holly Gibney is a fabulous character), but this book was an absolute nightmare and I just couldn't bring myself to finish it. I even tried the audio version on my 3rd attempt at finishing it hoping that the narrator would spice it up and make it exciting, but I found even listening was long and dragged out. I couldn't bring myself to finish, had to stop at 75% and don't think I'll try a fourth time. Not a book I would recommend. Works by his other son, Joe Hill, although not classic King, are much better than this drool. it had good bones but in my opinion just couldn't deliver.
