The amazing details had me crying, cringing and smiling. As a Polish American who grew up learning so much about our culture this really was so well done it had me wishing for a plate of Grandmas food. It was however a story that I have never heard, while I was told of the camps and Polish suffering under the German control. I was amazed at how much this story touched me and how much I learned. I felt connected to the women and it made them real in away I have never felt before. I am an avid reader and love historical fiction, this was on a different planet. I felt this novel and it made me think about things in such a different light. Things I thought I knew, became new and things I loved became even more cherished! I could not recommend this book more! But more importantly I could not Thank this author more! She brought to life these amazing women and she brought their stories to so many. Generation to come will know about these strong amazing women, and what happened, so as not to ever forget! Let the past be our guide to a better future! Thank God for the hero’s of WWII and Thank God for great authors who keep them alive forever!
