I have watched 100's of WW2 movies. This is the most haunting movies of post WW2 I have ever seen. The village is consumed with rage,guilt,sorror of what they did to their fellow neighbors, the Jews. I is so unique and impactful.... I thought of this movie for many days and hope this will never happen again. Yet, it's 2024 and neighbors are turning in neighbors due to racism and bigotry. It will never stop. God help us all.
