Great Game! Nostalgic Yet Fresh!
I've been a devoted fan of the "DW" franchise since the PS2 era, and this latest installment certainly brings back the charm of the classic storylines we've all cherished. Although the last few games didn't quite hit the mark for me, this one is a triumphant return to form, delivering smooth and satisfying gameplay.
The scale of the battles is genuinely impressive, with an overwhelming number of NPCs filling the screen. Achieving 2K or even 3K kills in a large battle has never felt more exhilarating. The weapon leveling system is a welcome addition, but I do hope for more variety in future updates. The weapon mechanics are robust, providing total control, especially when it comes to parrying generals' attacks.
The design of the battle levels is thoughtful and intricate, adding depth to the gameplay. Riding the horse feels incredibly natural, and the sprints through enemy lines are immensely gratifying. While the storyline focuses on the early stages of the familiar saga, I do miss the classic final battles (I've completed Shu and am almost done with Wu). Some characters are absent, likely because they haven't appeared in the timeline yet.
Overall, I'm thoroughly enjoying this game. Kudos to the developers for a job well done!
