Utter garbage. Listen to the 1 stars and ignore the rest - they are either being paid to promote the movie or they're AI generated - or they're female gladiators. Maybe Dundus the monkey is behind the positive reviews. The script is terrible, laughable, ridiculous even; the plot is a thin rip off of the original with more holes than a sieve; the cgi looks cartoonish; and there's ZERO character development. We left the theater caring nothing about any of the dead characters because we had no clue who they were. Still don't. The only one who lives is Lucius, and he's just as flat and static as the rest of them. Worse, there's no STORY other than the basic outline of the original plot. This version is merely a bunch of scenes spliced together with no continuity. The whole thing is an insult to moviegoers everywhere. Do Ridley Scott and Hollywood think us complete idiots? They must and it's offensive. I feel duped out of $40. The first Gladiator was a masterpiece, but sadly, this one is almost unwatchable. The only thing missing from this movie (other than script, characters, and plot) is a tornado to swoop down on the arena naval battle scene to elevate it to the level of Sharknado.
