I was very disappointed by this film. The reviews were mostly good and I was looking forward to see it. But it was very silly, childish, implausible,
It had nothing to do with Jane Austen. You don’t warm to the main character who lacks charm, is very immature and her boyfriends are not much better. I recommended this film to my French group and I felt ashamed afterwards. ‘Un vrai navet’ as they say in France for a bad film.
