I’m tired of reading about insanely rich people in the news and this novel was adding to that weariness-left me empty. I read it as it is critically acclaimed but was disappointed- not bored but not interesting to read about the delusions of the hyper rich. And the same story of a man living off his wife’s genius and demeaning her. So many better choices of subjects to explore- I would say it’s not badly written and the language and structure of the book is intriguing . Enjoyed the second two parts better than the first.
