I have watched East Enders since the first episode back in the 1980s. I’m still catching up with the New Year’s wedding back at the beginning of the year. I have to say compared to the realistic story lines of the past, I find that the present scrips of today seem to be unbelievable and unrealistic. Surely when you fall off a very high balcony one would at least suffer at best broken bones (bride). I also wonder how some of the residents can afford their homes when you look at the value of properties in London. Sadly you can’t beat the past scripts with more realistic story lines plus the fantastic actors\actresses from the past who are sadly no longer with us. The young characters now seem so wooden and lack any character nor personality. Bring back the old East Enders (sadly gone forever) I’m also watching older programmes of the soap from 2013 and I have to say they are far more enjoyable to watch. Perhaps Max Branning and his wife should come back to Albert Square.
