I have had to shorten this review because it was too long for Google to handle
There are many issues with "The Acolyte," aside from the political controversies.
Firstly, in the first 3 hours, there is only one 5-minute fight scene, which is slow and poorly executed. Characters like Indara die from minor wounds, while others survive fatal injuries with ease.
Secondly, the characters are poorly developed:
Indara: Calm but ineffective, with a senseless death.
Osha: A dropout mechanic inexplicably listened to by everyone, surviving a brutal crash without injury. Also, her knowledge of Jedi is inconsistent.
Yord: Has bad dialogue and an unwarranted ego. Inappropriately uses a yellow lightsaber.
Random green lady: Only orders others around and hides failures.
Sol: The only well-developed character.
Obese Jedi: Unrealistic due to Jedi training.
Mae: Burns down a citadel with a lamp and has an inconsistent backstory.
Ki-Adi Mundi: Should not have been born yet.
Torbin: Pointlessly kills himself.
Kelnacca: Missed opportunity for a Wookie lightsaber fight.
The witches: Inconsistent with established Nightsisters lore.
Missing characters include Yoda, Yaddle, and Plo Koon, who would have made sense in this timeline.
The writing is flawed, with nonsensical objectives and inconsistencies regarding the Sith's existence.
To salvage the situation, Disney should consider retconning "The Acolyte," ending it as a bad dream, and starting a new show with Dave Filoni in charge. Additionally, firing Kathleen Kennedy is crucial to prevent further decline in the quality of Star Wars content.
