I was left with a lot of questions. The backdrops to each scene were spectacular, but the dialog was scene specific and did not lead anywhere. Napoleon’s brother shows up, but nothing ties him in with the sequence of each appearance on screen. Josephine had children by a prior marriage but Napoleon’s Mother thought she was barren? They never show up after the first scene, and her lovers show up and disappear. Lots of loose ends. The battle scenes were so graphic, I took it as an anti-war movie.
