I think the level of baking knowledge and creativity on the GABO is much higher than the Great British Baking Show. Also, the hosts are much more enjoyable to watch. The judges Matt and Maggie offer their expertise to the amateur bakers that GBBO does not, which I think is perfectly fine since they are even handed in helping all of the competitors. Plus they have far more room to do their baking as well as far better equipment. It is a very entertaining show and I love watching the flora and fauna outside the "tent" in Australia.

Great show. Lots of dark humor interlaced with the heartbreak. Very well written and acted.

Great satire. Terrific period piece. Love Elle Fanning in this. My only complaint is with HULU. I paid for a subscription and only got to see it once before it disappeared off the selection list. Looking forward to Season 2.

Always a joy to watch Kate Winslet. Her performance in this television series is yet another example of the skill with which she practices her craft. Jean Smart is perfect as her mother -- the sarcasm and the humor along with concern and caring strike just the right note. The show gets the family dynamics, in fact, the vagaries of living in a town you whole life where everyone knows you or your family or you are related to a victim or felon, about right, too. And the accents mostly are on target too. Great writing, well acted, just too few episodes for my liking. I hope there is a Season 2.
