Weapons" had all the hype in the world. From the director of "Barbarian," a mind-bending premise about a whole class of kids vanishing into thin air, and a cast of talented actors like Julia Garner and Josh Brolin. I went in expecting another brilliantly executed, genre-bending masterpiece. What I got was a movie that felt less like a cohesive film and more like a clever but ultimately empty puzzle box.
