Let’s see:
•The plot is activated by a mentally disturbed young Jewish adult, on multiple psych meds, who inadvertently kills an obnoxious non-jew by slipping him a medication which exacerbates his debilitating (and pretty horrible) chronic illness.
•The laughs at the elderly jewish dad are aimed mainly at his creeping senility.
•The current cultural milieu is one in which “anti-semitism” is weaponized in the US by an increasingly fascist regime, followers of which are, largely, actually anti-semitic; this at a time when a madman in Israel is widely seen as genocidal.
I found it hard to laugh, but REALLY enjoyed the theater’s AC.
