This is every bit the equal of the excellent 1950 Robert Newton version.Every actor was perfectly cast,the direction and pace was spot on,and all scenes were beautifully filmed and realised.Robert Newton's Long John Silver is legendary but Charlton Heston portrayed him more subtly, bringing his own stamp on the character.The music is very atmospheric and enhances the historic feel of the movie.Great!
