What a spectacular film. Each character told their own story through their actions and words. I laughed and I cried - with them and for them. Udo Kier did an incredible job showing us who Pat was and making us care about him. I highly recommend this film.

I was enthralled by this movie when it first came out and I rented it (remember renting movies?) several times for a few years after. It certainly has it flaws, there could been more creative fun in the heaven scenes, but all in all I enjoyed this movie a great deal.

I loved this film. The characters were rich and each had their life story that brought so much depth to the movie. Seeing scenery from neighborhoods I recognized made the story more personal to me. I highly recommend it.

I wanted to like this movie but in addition to the no surprises plot, the protagonist was just so unlikeable that I just couldn't wait for it to be over. There was absolutely no chemistry between her and any of the other characters which made most of the movie unbelievable and unlikeable.
