As an outsider being non-american and having to watch this movie was a real eye opener, of how the father & daughter were living their isolated Hobo life outside the normal general population of society and how their relationship was tested to their true loyalty and learning their true identity of themselves in the real world.
But I could never understand and comprehend how the U.S Government mistreat their war veterans of the
past & present, as not only citizens,
but as normal human beings of their nation who had experienced a traumatic event that took place whilst in the war and have survived it, then go back home only to be forgotten, or pushed away..
for the ex soldiers to either become isolated by living away from society and/or become homeless.
Do they even get acknowledgement for their service, As our ANZAC soldiers get over here in Australasia, who receive high commeration with decorative medals, special veteran benefits from the government and most of all,
The Respect they deserve for their service to our country nation.
It's sad to learn of how the American Government treat their ex soldier veterans and I'm glad to watch this movie to learn of how it is, especially those veterans who got PTSD from their internal and external scars from the battles they fought in and fought for their country with honour.
